We have a minor injury crash on Highway 49 W above Lahr Rd as you exit Springfield. It is a non-injury or minor injury crash and the vehicle is off the road but the crash is likely to affect traffic flow. We will also advise drivers use extra caution and watch for distracted eclipse watchers as you navigate this afternoon.

Can the solar eclipse damage your smartphone?
We’ve checked numerous sources, and everyone seems to agree that the CMOS image sensors in most smartphones could get overloaded if you point your phone’s camera directly at the sun before during or after a solar eclipse. The bright light overwhelms the camera and could damage it permanently. If you’re going to brave it anyway, it would be a little safer during the full eclipse, but only pointed at the eclipse for extremely short bursts, but it’s best not to try to do it experts say. Since here in Robertson County, we’re only going to get a partial eclipse the risk to your phone’s sensors will be higher.
