A pickup truck ignited on Poplar Ave in Springfield just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning. MAP The Springfield Fire Department arrived promptly, quickly extinguishing the flames, protecting nearby vehicles and a home that was just feet away from the blaze. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. we believe the vehicle was equipped with an internal combustion engine vehicle, we do not believe this was an EV. While the cause of the fire is not yet known, the swift response of the Springfield Fire Department was crucial in preventing the fire from spreading to the adjacent home and vehicles.
We also had a structure fire in Orlinda. CLICK HERE for that report.
