Highway 25 Dirt and Mud Update

If you’ve been grappling with the mud and dirt buildup on Highway 25 near I-65, here’s a bit of good news. According to Cross Plains Fire Chief Tommy Jackson, along with TDOT and TDEK, everyone is aware of the issue. However, since it’s tied to a federal project—the widening of I-65—our hands are somewhat tied. Crews are putting in serious effort to clean up the mess, but with the constant flow of trucks, it’s bound to remain a nuisance until the project wraps up. Chief Jackson mentions they’re nearing the finish line, so hopefully, within the next couple of months, things will return to normal. READ COMMENTS ON FB HERE
