According to Lieutenant Travis Wright with the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department, both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported for treatment. The first call came into 911 at 2:35 p.m.
The road was temporarily shut down while authorities worked to clear the vehicles, debris, and attend to the patients. Traffic & Weather Update…
In collaboration with the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, we’ve gathered the latest updates on today’s weather and road conditions across the county.
Despite a fair amount of rainfall, the previous dry weather has left the ground relatively absorbent, leading to minimal flooding so far. However, several reports of downed trees have caused temporary road blockages, and we’ve seen two hydroplane-related accidents on I-24 and I-65. Additionally, a number of minor fender-benders have been reported throughout the county, most likely due to slippery roads, but thankfully, no serious or life-threatening injuries have been reported.
Emergency Management urges caution, particularly when driving through standing water, as it’s hard to judge the depth. As the rain continues, the risk of flooding may increase as the ground reaches saturation.
Currently, winds remain mild, and overall, the situation is manageable with only minor inconveniences.

FRIDAY TRIVIA QUESTION
For those of you who grew up with the Robertson County courthouse clock we have a trivia question for you that even AI could not handle.

There’s a phase on the clock where three separate bongs strike in sequence, each marking a different time. After these three single bongs, there are two bongs together, followed by a final single bong.

Each bong segment is in sequence, but each marks a completely different time on the clock. So the sequence goes: bong, bong, bong, then two bongs, and finally, one more bong. Can you figure out what time each of the five different bong segments represents? It happens twice a day. Email your answers to [email protected] Powered by Flowers615 in Springfield

Low-Flying Crop Dusters in Springfield Area
If you notice two planes flying low in the Springfield area today—a yellow biplane and a white mono-wing plane—there’s no need for concern. These are crop dusters, likely dropping winter wheat or clover for local farming. They are not spraying chemicals.

Their low altitude might catch your attention, but it’s all part of the normal farming process here in Robertson County. They’ll be flying throughout the afternoon. The biplane was out yesterday ahead of the weather but expect to see both planes flying together throughout the afternoon.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY RIDGETOP
For those of you in the Ridgetop area off Lake Road, you may notice an elevated presence of first responders. A vehicle left the roadway and went down to ravine at Shedden Rd, however, no humans were found near the vehicle which means they’re likely on foot. Drive with caution if you’re in the area.
UPDATE: Lake Rd reopens following crash.
