This Saturday, Amateur Radio Operators Field Day Event (Open To The Public)

ALL ENTHUSIASTS INVITED!

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Open to the public, the Robertson County Amateur Radio Club will be participating in the 2024 ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Field Day Event on Saturday June 22. They will be located at the Robertson County Fairgrounds in front in Springfield of the Livestock Pavillion. MAP

This is an annual event in which amateur radio operators all across the country set up their equipment in remote locations attempting to make as many radio contacts as possible in a 24 hour period. This event is to demonstrate the use of amateur radio in the field in national and regional disaster situations.

“Come Join us and watch live amateur radio demonstrations and ask any question you may have about amateur radio beginning at 1:00 pm to 4 pm Saturday, June 22nd. It’s a great hobby!” Set for operators is at 8 AM.
