THP Identifies Driver Following Fatal I65 Crash

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is releasing more information including the identity of the driver following Sunday’s fatal rollover I65 crash.

The crash occurred on I65 North at mile marker 110 Sunday evening around 5:30 pm. Mile Marker 110 is positioned between White House and the Hwy 25-Cross Plains exit. LOCATION OF CRASH

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Jose Chavez of Nashville, driving a 2001 Ford Ranger, lost his life in the single-vehicle crash.

The THP’s preliminary crash report did not indicate why Jose lost control of his vehicle, just that his vehicle left the roadway and began to overturn. The report added that Jose was not wearing safety restraints. There was no mention of impairment.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Cross Plains Fire Department, the Robertson County Sheriff Office Robertson County EMA, and the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency all responded to the crash.
