Twice Daily Gas Station Robbery: Suspect In Custody

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Last week Springfield Police released chilling security video footage of an armed robbery that occurred last Sunday morning November 29, at the Twice Daily Gas Station on Memorial Blvd in Springfield.

In an unusual step, police released the audio recording of the robbery along with the video in hopes that someone will recognize the voices of the men. Now police say they have a suspect in custody.

Early this morning Zachary Thomas Tolley, 21, of Goodlettsville TN was booked into the Robertson County detention facility in Springfield on a $151,500 bond.

Detective Terry Dorris arrested Tolley late Monday in Goodlettsville in connection with the crime and charged him with Aggravated Robbery and Theft (Under $500.00).

According to Detective Dorris, more arrests are anticipated.

Police say no one was injured in the incident that occurred just before 3:00 am. The station is located at 17 Memorial Blvd, directly across from the Robertson County fairgrounds.

Police say the men escaped with a small amount of cash from the register and a few packs of cigarettes.   Before entering the store the men struck outside cameras to point them away from the crime scene.

Springfield Police told Smokey Barn News that the audio portion of the surveillance video of the robbery did play part in the identification of suspects.
