Two Fun-Filled Action-Packed Events Set For This Saturday Night
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Racecar and demolition fans have it made this weekend with two great events this Saturday. If vehicle carnage is your thing then you’ll need to head over to the Robertson County Fair for their Annual Demolition Derby that will not disappoint. If high bank racing is your thing then head over to Veterans Motorplex at the Rim for a night of racing with a chance to get a ride in a race car! The Rim is also having a Hula-Hoop contest with cash prizes for all age groups. All the details for both events have been added below!

August 24th: Veterans Motorplex At The Rim – Have a chance to be able to win a ride-along in one of our race cars!
It is with regret that we have to announce to our fans and racing family that The Pro Am Truck Series has chosen to cancel their part of this weeks events at Veterans Motorplex. This Truck series has competitors from all over the southeast and according to Bobby Owens, the series owner, he had already been contacted by several competitors that did not want to make the distance with the possibility of rain for the Saturday event even though it was a low percentage chance in our opinion. The Pro-Am Series asked for a possible reschedule but Veterans Motorplex does not have any open dates for the remainder of the year to do that.
Veterans Motorplex is the only middle Tennessee Asphalt Racing facility that features Racing EVERY Saturday night for the enjoyment of our fans and these schedules are laid out months in advance.
This week is our Family Pack VALUE Week in which a family of 2 adults and up to 6 children can get in for ONLY $30. That’s less than $4 per person and it has to be the BEST entertainment value in Tennessee
PT Barnum says the show must go on and so it will this week 9: Big Racing Events for your entertainment including Heat Races and Feature Races plus grandstands open at 4 pm with qualifying to follow shortly after that.
At intermission time we have a BIG HULA HOOP Contest for our fans of all age groups that pays up to $100 per age group.

The Derby will be rain or shine at the discretion of the RC Fair board. Classes running: Stock Big Class and Mini Cars Class. Also Kids Power Wheels Derby – free entry for kids 9 and under. Must have a helmet to participate. Trophy to all participants.

$10 Adults/$5 Students (under age 5 is free) Saturday 3PM – 7PM – Armband Special for Rides $20 plus Regular Gate Admission
