Two New Eats Coming to Springfield
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Springfield is getting two new restaurants. First, the long-awaited Chick-fil-A has finally broken ground just a skip and a jump from the YMCA on Tom Austin Hwy. When completed the new Chick-fil-A will be parked on the corner of Watson Rd and Tom Austin Hwy with the Y on one side and Walmart on the other. MAP
The second newcomer is Whataburger. That’s right, Whataburger is coming to Springfield. They will be taking over the old Shoney’s location between the Springfield Inn and Bank Of America. MAP
“G.S. Moore and Son is excited at the prospect of Whataburger coming to Springfield. Hopefully, the City of Springfield will find a way to work with developers to continue attracting exciting restaurants and retail to our city.” Jim Moore
Nothing is ever carved in stone until the shovel huts ground but Smokey Barn News learned today that Whataburger has pulled at least one site permit, leading us to believe they are moving forward.
