SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Springfield man is behind bars after police say he shot two men during a botched drug deal Sunday night.

21-year-old Javarious A. Turner was taken into custody on Monday and charged with two counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder.

Turner was taken into custody transported to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield under a half-million-dollar bond.

The incident occurred on Raines Drive in Springfield MAP on around 9:30 pm Sunday evening. Police say two individuals were shot during an alleged botched drug deal and drove themselves to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield for treatment.

When Detectives arrived at NorthCrest, they were able to speak to the victims and develop Javarious Turner as a suspect in the shooting.

We do not have an update on the condition of the victims but we do know they survived and were treated by NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield Tennessee. One victim was later transferred to a medical facility in Nashville.
