UPDATE: Gallatin Police: Lock 4 Park Shooter Suffered “Personal Issues”

GALLATIN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – This will be an update to a report we brought you on Wednesday regarding a shooting in Lock 4 Park in Gallatin Tennessee. The shooting ended when the alleged shooter took his own life, according to a release obtained by Smokey Barn News.  Gallatin Police are investigating the shooting that occurred at the end of Lock 4 Park on Wednesday, around 3:30 P.M. LOCATION OF SHOOTING

Officers responded to the area after two separate calls for service. The first call was for EMS (medical assistance) and the second call was in reference to shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect, Quantez Parks (pictured) deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police say the investigation revealed that Mr. Parks allegedly shot at a total of four victims. The first two victims were shot after attempting to help Mr. Parks who indicated he needed medical attention.

Mr. Parks then left and began shooting at two more victims riding bicyclists in the park. One victim was life-flighted and is in stable condition. A second victim was treated and released at the scene.

Gallatin Police believe that the incident was a random shooting and found no connection between the suspect, victims, or the city of Gallatin.

Investigators interviewed family members who stated that Mr. Parks has been suffering from personal issues recently, police said.
