Vehicle vs. One Stop Market Building in Springfield – Police Reviewing Footage
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Springfield Police and Fire responded to the One Stop Market at the corner of South Main Street and 21st Avenue after a vehicle struck the building and left the scene. MAP The impact took a noticeable chunk out of the structure, and officials are likely reviewing security footage to identify the vehicle, the first call coming into 911 at 10:24 pm.
Given the damage to the building, the vehicle will likely have visible damage as well. Springfield Police will likely have little trouble identifying it. The One Stop Market is an important fixture in the neighborhood, providing nearby residents with groceries and essential goods. The owners have put substantial time and money into improving the store, enhancing both its appearance and functionality, making this incident especially frustrating.
No injuries have been reported, but the full extent of the structural damage will need to be assessed by a structural engineer. If Springfield Police release more information, we will bring it to you.
