Smokey is sad to report that a barn fire that broke out around 1:00PM Friday is a total loss. No injuries reported. With the wind the flames seemed to almost reach the road. It was a powerful fire that firefighters could do little about other than protect surrounding structures. The barn is located at the intersection of U.S. 41 & Jones Chapel Rd.
