VIDEO: Fire Ignites Cedar Hill Home Overnight

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Cedar Hill home sustained heavy damage after a fire ripped through the structure overnight.

The home is located in the 2500 block of Mud Cat Rd near W. Glover Rd. MAP The first call came into 911 just before midnight Wednesday night.

According to Fire Chief Ray Brown with the Adams Fire Department, everyone made it out of the home safely.

The Adams Fire Department, with the assistance of the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, North Robertson Fire, & Rescue, the Robertson County  Emergency Management Agency, and Robertson County EMS, attacked the fire from every angle possible. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office secured the scene and directed traffic away from the fire.

Chief Brown told Smokey Barn News that the fire seems to have started at the front of the home and firefighters did a great job containing it but it will be well into tomorrow before a full assessment of the damage can be made. The official cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The disposition of the family was not immediately clear but the home is definitely not livable. Should the family reach out to the community with any needs that they have we will bring it to you..
