(Video) Thousands Attend Robertson Airport Fly-In

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) This year’s Springfield- Robertson County Airport Fly-In was a huge success and a first for the airport’s new Airport manager Jamie Jones.

Though the official estimate was about 2500 in attendance, it appeared that half the planet decided to show up to the event last weekend. If the sun had come out they might have been overloaded. Baloon rides were scheduled but canceled due to poor weather conditions.

Many beautiful aircraft were on display amongst the great food, music, helicopter rides, and skydivers. RC operators put on a beautiful show and pilots gave tours of aircraft. For aircraft enthusiasts, it was a day to remember.

The Depot offer up its palate-pleasing delectables from their brand new restaurant on wheels, and it was certainly a hit.

Helistar Aviation out of Nashville brought their helicopters and flew 402 paying customers, averaging about 140 flights throughout the day. It was also a nice opportunity for the airport to show off its new terminal building.

All in all a great day for the city of Springfield and Robertson County.
