Two People Shot In A Home in Springfield UPDATED 7:30 AM

Robert HamillPolice, Fire & EMS were dispatched on reports of gunfire to 212 FoxRun in the Oakland Farms development located in Springfield around 11:40pm Wednesday evening. Police are still investigating but we were told it was a “domestic”. Theresa Hamill 60 and Robert Hollway 65 were both shot twice with a shot gun in the ordeal. They were both transported to local hospitals for medical treatment and are presently undergoing surgical procedures to remove shotgun pellets, according to Lieutenant Jimmy Grogan with the Springfield Police department.

We are still waiting on an update but we believe that both victims are expected to recover. The suspect (Robert Hamill 63) was taken into custody around 12:30AM. Theresa Hamill and Robert Hamill are devorced. Robert Hamill was found inside the home at the time of the arrest, according to Grogan. Robert Hamill was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated domestic assault, carrying / possession of a weapon and (added later) two counts of criminal intent to commit murder.
