UPDATE: Arrest Made in McCormick’s Pharmacy Robbery
According to White House Police Chief Pat Brady, Austin Chase Byrd 25 of Hendersonville Tennessee has been arrested and charged with the alleged robbery of McCormick’s Pharmacy back on December 30th 2013.
According to Chief Brady, “Evidence we were able to obtain from the crime scene led to his arrest” Brady also said that at one point detectives worked 47 hours straight last week to solve the case and the public was also a great help. They were able to obtain several search warrants that led to the suspect. “We believe Byrd is the subject in the video but the case remains under investigation and we do expect further arrests”, Brady said.
According to Chief Brady, upon questioning “Mr Byrd made statements as to his involvement in the robbery” Brady also indicated that a 45 Taurus semi automatic handgun like the one pictured was recovered. The case was taken to the Grand Jury on Wednesday and a sealed indictment came down today. The indictment was served on Bird for the alleged robbery this morning and he was booked into the Robertson County detention facility. Byrd has been charged with alleged aggregated robbery and has a bond amount of $5,000.00. Bird bonded out of jail at 10:23AM Friday.
According to Chief Brady, Byrd had no previous criminal history.

McCormick’s Pharmacy Robbed in White House

White House Police were dispatched around 12:17pm Monday to McCormick’s Pharmacy (map location) In White House. The call was in regards to an attempted armed robbery in progress. The suspect is a white male with a mustache around 5’9 in height, estimated weight 160-180 lbs, mid 25-35 in age wearing a blue hoodie, sunglasses and blue jeans. The suspect walked in the front door, brandished a Silver Semi Automatic handgun and demanded drugs. The suspect may have fled in a green Ford F150 extended cab. A K9 unit was dispatched to aid in the search of the suspect.
No one was injured in the robbery. The employees were (needless to say) shocked. A few employees came out to watch the K9 unit search the field behind the facility. The suspect escaped with about $600 in drugs.
