Violent Rollover Crash In Springfield Seriously Injures One

SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – One person was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with “serious injuries” following a violent rollover crash in Springfield Friday night.

The crash occurred on Black Patch Rd at Allison Ln, the first call coming into 911 at 1:22 am. MAP Following the crash, the driver (a female estimated to be in her 20s) was pinned inside the vehicle. The Springfield Fire Department performed the extrication.

According to officials, the damage to the vehicle complicated the extrication so additional manpower was called in. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries but was able to communicate with medics.

The vehicle appeared to have left the roadway, clipped a small concrete walkway bridge, and began to roll traveling more than 100 feet before landing on its roof.

As far as a cause of the crash, the Springfield Police Department is leading the investigation. As soon as they are prepared to release their findings, will bring it to you. We are also working to obtain an update on the condition of the young lady injured in the crash.

The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, and the Springfield Police Department all responded to the scene.
