WANTED: Burglar Returns To Home-Poses As Officer-Robs Woman

SUSPECT STILL AT LARGE

MILLERSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Around 1:00 am Sunday morning, Matthew Mitchell Summers allegedly went to a residence at the Cedarwood Mobile Home Park located at 1068 Louisville Hwy in Millersville and tried to break into one of the homes. Police say Summers’ attempt to get in the home was unsuccessful but he did cause damage to the home.

Summers left the area but police say around  8:00 am he returned and knocked on the door of the same home but this time identified himself as a Police Officer. The homeowner did not open the door. That’s when police say Summers then allegedly tore a window air-conditioner unit out and entered the residence through the window.

Summers then allegedly robbed the homeowner and took her cell phone preventing her from calling 911. After the robbery, Summers left the home on foot, possibly armed with a large knife. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, dark colored shorts, and blue and gray Nike tennis shoes. The suspect may be traveling in a blue 2012 Hyundai Elantra with Tennessee tag 7N46A2.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are actively searching for the suspect. We are asking for anyone who sees Mr. Summers to contact police immediately at (615) 859-2758.
