WANTED: Police Identify Suspect In Second Phillips 66 Robbery
BREAKING: Nov 1, 2017.
According to officials in Robertson County, Marlon Cotham has turned himself into the Robertson County Detention Facility on the charges from Sunday’s armed robbery at the Maxey Road Phillips 66. Cotham has been charged with Aggravated-Robbery and Theft-of-Property. He is being held on a $65,000 bond.
CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Just days after a man lost his life in a Cedar Hill gas station parking lot in a Craigslist sale gone bad, the Robertson County Sheriff’s office found itself investigating another armed robbery in the same parking lot, this time it was Letgo.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is now releasing more information about the alleged robbery in hopes that someone in the community can help them locate a key suspect.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victim in the October 28th robbery agreed to meet a buyer from ‘Letgo’ to sell video equipment and meet at the Phillips 66 on Maxey Road in Cedar Hill. (location of robbery)
Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the incident occurred just after 2 PM Saturday afternoon.
When the victim met with the suspect, now identified as Marlon William Cotham, 24, of Nashville, he and another unknown subject allegedly robbed the victim of the video equipment at gunpoint. Police say Cotham and his unknown companion then fled the scene. The victim was unharmed. Cotham has active warrants on file for Aggravated Robbery and Theft over $1,000.
With the suspect being from Nashville and the victim from Clarksville, detectives believe that this location was chosen only as a meeting point for the exchange, just as it was in the homicide just days prior.
Smokey Barn News spoke to one of the employees at the Phillips 66 station the day of the robbery shortly after it happened. She told us when she arrived at work police were everywhere and she was shocked to learn that something like this could have happened again.

Just days earlier, on October 25th Jonathan Outlaw, a former TSU & Clarksville Police officer, met three men at this same Philips 66 In Cedar Hill to discuss the purchase of his 2015 Chevrolet Camaro that Outlaw had posted for sale on Craigslist.
