Weather Triggers Multiple I-65 Wrecks Thursday Morning

ROBERTSON COUNTY (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, travel is extremely hazardous this morning and Emergency crews have been responding to numerous wrecks in the county. This includes I-65 both Northbound and Southbound lanes.

Pictured:  A tractor-trailer left the roadway and jackknifed on the Northbound side on I-65 Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 8:15 am. According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, it was a non-injury crash.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Soon after the snow started falling Wednesday night, reports started coming in about vehicles slipping off the road. At Timberlake Dr and Roy Pitt Rd in Springfield, a vehicle left the road and rolled down an embankment before a row of trees stopped the vehicle from going into a creek. A spokesperson for the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency said, “If you don’t have to get out please stay home. Travel should only be attempted in emergency situations.”
