According to officials, three people live in the home but only one was inside at the time of the fire. The resident told officials that he was in the bathroom and came out to heavy smoke. Within a short time the front part of the home was a ball of fire.

Firefighters from Cross Plains, White House Community and Orlinda knocked the fire down in about 20 minutes. Officials estimate that about two thirds of the home was saved but the entire house did suffer smoke damage.

Fortunately no one was injured in the fire.

The Robertson County sheriff’s Office and the THP helped with traffic control and Robertson County EMS put the residents in contact with the Red Cross.

The home is not livable and if the family decides to go public with any needs that they have we will bring it to you.
