At just before 10:30PM New Years Eve, a woman driving on Woodruff Avenue in Ridgetop lost control of her Chevrolet pickup truck. The vehicle left the roadway, sideswiped a tree and rolled over before hitting a second tree in the front yard of a home, according to Ridgetop Police.
The woman was injured and transported to NorthCrest Medical center in Springfield with non life threatening injuries, however one witness indicated she had some facial injuries. According to Ridgetop Police, alcohol may have been a factor and the woman was charged with DUI. The name of the driver was not immediately available.
