Worker Critical After Falling From Roof At South Central Growers 

A worker was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center In Nashville in critical condition after falling from a roof at South Central Growers in Springfield.

The call came in around 2:00PM Wednesday afternoon.  Emergency crews were dispatched to 4724 Hire Rd in Springfield.  South Central Growers is situated directly across from the Robertson County Airport.

According to Fire Chief Chad Gregory with North Robertson Fire and Rescue, the man fell some 15 to 20 feet from an empty greenhouse and landed on concrete. Gregory told Smokey he believed the worker was part of a construction crew that was working on a new section of the facility.

According to Russell Gupton, Assistant Director, Robertson County Emergency Medical Services, the 41 year old male was in, “Extremely critical condition with multi-system traumatic injuries.”

tl ford build and price 300North Robertson Fire and Rescue, Robertson County Emergency Management Agency and Robertson County Emergency Medical Services responded to the call.

Though the patient was transported to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, due to a low ceiling the LifeFlight helicopter was going to land at the Robertson County airport and crews were set up there. As the helicopter approached the city,  the pilot determined that it would be safe to land at NorthCrest.

According, Gupton, in low ceiling conditions, poor visibility or when a pilot is forced to use instruments, emergency air ambulances divert to the nearest airport. Luckily in this case the weather opened up enough for the pilot to land at the hospital.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time. As soon as we have more information on the man’s identity and condition we will bring it to you.

Afortunadamente en este caso el tiempo se abrió lo suficiente para que el piloto para aterrizar en el hospital.

El nombre de la víctima no ha sido puesto en libertad en este momento. Tan pronto como tengamos más información sobre la identidad y el estado del hombre traeremos a usted.
