3 Transported Following 2-Car Rollover In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Three people were transported to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield following a two-vehicle rollover crash Friday evening, according to officials with Robertson County EMS.
EMS officials tell Smokey Barn News that the injuries sustained by the occupants were non-critical.
The crash occurred just before 7 pm at the Woodland St/18th Ave intersection directly in front of Springfield Welding. MAP
The building, perched in the middle of the intersection and under renovation, appeared to escape damage by just inches. The tiny historic structure is owned by Springfield Alderman Clay Sneed.
Springfield Police Accident Investigators are leading the investigation into a cause of the crash.
The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS and Springfield Police al responded to the scene.
A second rollover crash at this same somewhat-complicated intersection last July FULL STORY might push city engineers to consider design improvements.
The little building that sits in the middle of the intersection was originally a gas station dating back to about 1915 according to Sneed’s best recollection. The structure was about to be demolished until Sneed stepped in and saved it. FULL STORY
