$5k Reward Offered For Return Of Stolen Hoe Ram In Coopertown
COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Coopertown Police are reaching out to the public following the theft of a $63,000 hydraulic hammer owned by Scott & Ritter, Inc.
The Hoe Ram was stolen from a job site near York Rd and E Felts Rd sometime Friday or Saturday, March 19 or 20, 2021. LOCATION OF THEFT
According to Coopertown Police, the large industrial jack-hammer was on-site to break ground for new housing. This is a very large and heavy piece of equipment in the 5,000 to 7,000 lbs range. Not something you toss in the back of a pickup. Whoever removed it likely employed a trailer our large hauling apparatus like a tractor to lift and/or transport it. Whatever the method of transport, it would have appeared somewhat inconspicuous as it navigated our roadways.
If you have an operational doorbell cam or other surveillance equipment in the area that may have captured the equipment passing by on video, it would be invaluable to authorities as they try to locate the equipment and those responsible. If you live near interstate access points near the site you too may also want to check your camera recordings on Friday and Saturday.
The owners would like to offer a reward that leads to the capture of the perpetrators and for the return of the item in the amount of $5,000.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Coopertown Police Department at 615-382-7007 ext 202, or e-mail [email protected] or you can call the Robertson County dispatch center at 615-384-4911
