Goodlettsville, TN

Gary Webster, age 78, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away on April 11th, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Gary was born on April 12, 1946, to the late Eula and William Webster. He is also preceded in death by his brothers John and David Webster, and his sister June Vaughn. He leaves behind his loving wife Betty Webster, the two would have been married 55 years in June. He is also survived by his children Brian Webster (Amanda) and Benjamin Webster (Merrill). Gary is survived by his grandchildren: Braelyn, Josh, Elissa, Brennan, Carson, Cruz, Elijah, Lydia, Elsey, Hazel, Genevieve, and Adelaide, and 5 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Charles Webster, sister-in-law Wanda Webster, and his nieces: Connie Parrott, Carolyn Monroe, Jenny Keith, Judy Tisdale, Janie Mary, Gina Talbott, Pam Knetch, Ina Webster, and Barbara Neubert. Although he is gone, his memory will forever reside within them all.

Gary was a child of God. He was a long-time member of the Goodlettsville First Baptist Church. He was a very involved member, where he would serve as a deacon, Sunday School director and teacher, and choir member.

For over 35 years, Gary was the heart and soul behind Taylor Webster Financial, where his professional prowess shone brightly, yet he managed to keep a delicate balance between his career and family life. His steadfast dedication to his work was only matched by his unyielding love for his family, which stood as his proudest achievement. Beyond his many capabilities and accomplishments, it was his role as a husband and father that defined him most profoundly.

Those fortunate enough to know Gary will remember him as an oak tree—strong, steady, and always unwavering and present in times of need. His rich presence impacted the lives of many, gently guiding those around him with quiet strength. Though a man of few words, when he spoke, his words carried profound weight, often delivered with a dry, sarcastic humor that could brighten even the dimmest of days.

floral squareGary’s love for sports fueled his spirit outside of work. He reveled in the thrill of UT Football and took to the greens with enthusiasm, enjoying golf as both a competitive hobby and a leisurely pursuit. He was not only a fan on the sidelines; he played for his church softball team and demonstrated his athleticism as a basketball player during his high school days. He would even go on to coach his children’s teams as well. These passions brought him joy and an opportunity to forge lasting friendships.

A graduate of Nashville Law School, his education laid the foundation for a successful career that coupled knowledge and integrity. Gary’s legacy will forever echo through the memories he created with his family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived.

Family, friends, and all who were touched by Gary are invited to celebrate his life at First Baptist Church, located at 613 S Main St, Goodlettsville, TN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a Funeral Service following at 12:00 PM on April 17, 2025. He will then be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.

The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in honor of Mr. Gary Webster to Alive Hospice – Nashville.

Their devotion to each other was evident; they were true partners who navigated life together, embodying a bond that would span 66 years that inspired those around them.

Alma was not only a diligent worker but also a kind, caring, and gentle soul. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard, and she never hesitated to lend a helping hand or offer her support. “You always knew where you stood with her,” friends and family would say, recalling her honesty and her ability to “tell it how it is.” These qualities endeared her to many, as she was someone who would always be there for you no matter what.

A devoted child of God, Alma was a member of the White House First Baptist Church. Her faith guided her and was evident in the way she lived, exemplifying kindness and compassion. She would be baptized there and even go on to bring her son to services at the church as well.

Alma’s heart for family was unmatched, and her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her loved ones. She reveled in the joys of motherhood and grandmotherhood, always making time for her family. She embraced activities that kept her active, from gardening to landscaping, diligently maintaining her yard and sharing the fruits of her labor with her family. Her garden provided not just vegetables, but also lessons in sustainability, as she lovingly taught her daughter-in-law how to can vegetables. Alma’s home was filled with warmth and the delightful aromas of her cooking, especially her famed mashed potatoes, which her grandchildren would never fail to request.

Patricia Cathrine Sullivan
November 17, 1935 — April 12, 2025
Nashville

Patricia Cathrine Sullivan, aged 89, passed away on April 12th, 2025. She was born to the historical town of Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 17th, 1935, to her parents, Frank & Gertrude Parker, who have preceded her in death. She was raised alongside her elder brothers, Joseph Parker and Thomas Parker, who have also preceded her. During her lifetime, she had two sons with James Sullivan, Anthony and Thomas, who married Cici and Faith. Her children survive her, as well as Anthony & Cici’s children, Samuel and Grace.

Having worked in a fast-paced environment at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, Patricia was known as a no-nonsense woman. Whether taking orders for her patients or raising her children to be the best and brightest, she was straight in her path. Later in her life, she travelled to several parts of China with her son Anthony and his wife, Cici. Since she had travelled to few other places, she took her time gathering souvenirs and brought home plenty of antiques. Her home was truly her own, filled with things she cherished. Every part of her house was filled with craft supplies – fabric, glitter, and enough knitting tools to last a lifetime. She knew she would never have to visit a store to find what she needed. Patricia spent most of her time working on various crafts within her house. What time she had left over, she spent tending to her plants. In the midst of colorful projects, there would always be a spring of green waiting to be tended to.

floral squareServices to honor the life of Patricia Sullivan will be held on Thursday, April 17th, 2025. In lieu of a traditional service, the family wishes to share food and stories of their late mother. Visitation will be open for the public from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, located on 127 N. Main St., Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
