To place an obituary on SmokeyBarn.com is $199, which includes one photo and up to 300 words. All veterans, EMS, Firefighters, and Police are always free of charge.

If services are being handled by the Robertson County Funeral Home in Springfield, or Austin & Bell Funeral Home, or Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, the obituary will be published to Smokey Barn News free of charge.

For funeral homes

If you wish to include all of your obituaries in our column, please email [email protected]. There will be a charge of $199.

How to submit

You may send an obituary listing and photo to [email protected]. Please include your name, address, phone number, and contact information for the funeral home that is assisting you. All notices are subject to verification with a funeral home prior to publication.

Publication timing

There is no deadline for publication. Once we receive the obituary, the name of the funeral home in charge of arrangements, and a photo, the obituary will be published to the current weekly In Loving Memory column and will also be included in the next column to be published Sunday afternoon.

Payment

An invoice with a secure link to pay by credit card will be provided via email correspondence. Smokey Barn News customers can pay invoices online 24 hours a day using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover with a single click. You are not charged a transaction fee. You do not need to log in, and no membership is required.
