Charles Eugene Taylor
August 29, 1942 — January 4, 2026
Greenbrier, TN

Charles Eugene Taylor, born August 29, 1942, in Fairview, Tennessee, departed from this life on January 4, 2026, comfortably at his home surrounded by his family.

Charles was an extremely hard worker from a very young age. He met his wife while working at May Hosiery Mill in Nashville in 1962. He went on to work in management at several companies in the textile manufacturing industry.

When Charles was not at work, he was a devoted family man who loves spending time with his wife, daughter, and granddaughters. He also enjoyed selling produce at the Nashville farmers market for Smiley’s farm for several years before retiring.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sandra Wade Taylor. His only child, daughter Lisa Taylor Dixon. Granddaughters, Heather (Jeremy) Herman and Harley English. Great granddaughter, Laci Anne Hood. Brothers- Ricky (Debbie) Malugen and Wilburn (Mitzi) Malugen.

He was by preceded in death his mother and stepfather Myrtle and Clyde Malugen. Brothers, Horace Malugen and William Vastal Malugen.

A visitation to honor Charles life will be held on January 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, TN. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the same location. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.

Bobbie Sue Wright
March 19, 1934 — January 6, 2026

Bobbie Sue Walker Wright, a beloved member of the Goodlettsville community and a dedicated family matriarch, passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on March 19, 1934, Bobbie lived a life rich with love, determination, and a spirit of resilience that she carried into all her endeavors.

Bobbie was a proud and retired school bus driver for Sumner County, where she served the community with great care and commitment.

An outstanding athlete in her youth, Bobbie excelled in basketball and also enjoyed playing tennis, softball, and running track.

Family was at the core of Bobbie’s existence. She is survived by her children, Freddie D. Wright, Jr., Susan Mechelle Cole (Grant); and Benjamin Clark Wright (Kellee). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Olivia (Jessica) Cole, Amelia Cole, and Jorden (Tyler) McDonald, two beloved great-grandchildren, her sister, Billie Ruth Brown; and her brother, Jesse Walker Bobbie was also surrounded by numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie D. Wright; and her parents, Ruth Agnes Walker and Jesse William Walker.

Visitation services will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville on January 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on January 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow on the same day from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join in honoring Bobbie Sue Wright, a woman whose love and spirit have touched so many lives. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.

Billy H. Lamberth
April 9, 1931 — January 11, 2026
Goodlettsville, TN

Billy H. Lamberth, born on April 9, 1931, entered into rest on January 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy enriched by his service, dedication, and family love. A resident of Goodlettsville, he was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. His vibrant personality was truly one of a kind; he was outgoing, always on the go, and could not sit still.

A proud veteran, Billy served in the United States Marines for two years. Following his military service, he had an illustrious career as a high lift driver for Ford Glass Plant, where he eventually retired. In addition to his role at Ford, he contributed to his community by serving as a part-time police officer for the City of Goodlettsville and was a dedicated Volunteer Fireman. A testament to his commitment to community service, he had the honor of serving as the Grand Marshall of the Inaugural Goodlettsville Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in 2025.

Billy possessed a wide array of interests that kept him engaged and active. He enjoyed dancing at the Long Hollow Jamboree, playing cards, and keeping busy with various hobbies that brought him joy. He was particularly proud to be a member of the Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge, where he found fellowship and camaraderie. He also enjoyed spending time camping.

Billy is survived by his loving children, Denise (Tom) Sanders and Tammy Rorie; grandchildren Nicki (Michael) Bess and Kaleb Rorie; great-grandson Braxton Bess; and sister Anna Lynn McMurtry.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mrs. Rachel Lamberth; his parents, Homer and Nora Lamberth; and his brothers, Herman Lamberth, Herbert Lamberth, Aubrey Lamberth, and Nolan Lamberth.

As family and friends reflect on Billy’s life, they will remember his unwavering spirit, generous heart, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. His family invites all to join them in celebrating his remarkable life during the visitation on January 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on January 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville. A Celebration of Life will follow on January 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Billy H. Lamberth will forever be remembered as a man who lived fully and loved deeply. His contributions to his family, his community, and his country will echo in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

79 Years Old

Douglas Ray “Doug” Watson, 79, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Sunday January 11, 2026, at the Westmoreland Care and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Pastor Gary Dillard officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier.

Mr. Watson was born September 16, 1946, in Adairville, KY, to the late Rayburn and Betty Louise Gilliam Watson. He worked 26 years for Elm Hill Meats, 4 years for Tennessee Dressed Beef, and then went on to work and retire from the City of Greenbrier with 16 years of service. Mr. Watson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers and old cars, and he enjoyed mowing his yard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Danny and Roger Watson. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Marie Castellow Watson of Greenbrier, by his children: Mary Aileen (Wayne) Maddle of Portland, Bethany Christina (Eric) Pack of Bethpage, and David Watson of Greenbrier, by his 4 grandchildren and his 9 great grandchildren.

Randall Keith Vinson

Randall Keith Vinson, 65, of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday December 28, 2025, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Randall was born December 18, 1960, in Nashville, to the late Jimmie Vinson and the late Betty Lou Mantlo Ragsdale. He worked many years in the carpentry and construction field. Randall enjoyed flying drones, watching football and westerns, fishing with his buddies, Buster and Chucky, and operating remote-control cars. He always loved working with his hands in whatever job he was doing, and the highlight of Randall’s day was caring for his dog: Nadia that he loved so much, and spending time with his granddaughter: Haylee, his daughter: Carie, and his buddies: Buster and Chucky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Ryan Vinson, by his wife: Sherry Goff Vinson, by his sister: Pamela Vinson Hargrove, by his niece: Tia Vinson, and by his nephew: Jason Ledbetter.

Randall is survived by his daughter: Carie (Dennis) Smith of Springfield, by his granddaughter: Haylee Vinson (Dalton Craig), by his dog: Nadia, by his brothers: Jerry Vinson and Jeff Ragsdale both of Springfield, and by his sisters: Kay Hobart of Cottontown, and Sandra Ledbetter of Clanton, AL.

Tracey DeAnne KonkolTracey DeAnne Konkol, age 49, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. David Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY.

The family will receive friends from 11am until time of the service at 1pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Tracey was born February 12, 1976, in Springfield to William Dewey Edwards and Deloris Marie Wood Edwards. She was a homemaker most of her life.

Mrs. Konkol was preceded in death by her first husband, James Redden Strickland; and her mother-in-law, Theresa Konkol.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory Lawrence Konkol; sons, Ethan Riley Konkol, Landen Finley Konkol and Marley Shaye Konkol; parents, William Dewey and Deloris Marie Edwards; sisters, Shannon Denise Edwards and her spouse Dana Elliott and Dana Nicole Mitchell and her spouse William; nieces, Evie Mitchell and Lily Mitchell; father-in-law, Vernon Konkol; brother-in-law, David Konkol; and sister-in-law, Sarah Konkol.

He was born June 29, 1975 in Madison, TN to Howard Stevenson & Emma Estes Cordle. Ryan enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, tinkering with old cars, fishing, landscaping with his son and spending time with his children. He could always make you laugh.

He loved life and brought joy to everyone he was around. He had attended Millersville Church of Christ. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Emma Cordle, Cottontown, TN; sons, Andrew (Caroline) Cordle, Cottontown, TN, Will Cordle and Dee Brewington, both of Millersville, TN; daughter, Sophia Brewington, Millersville, TN; sisters, Christy Cordle, Cottontown, TN and Jennifer Cordle(John) Stowell, Restin, VA; mother of his children, Lori Cordle, Millersville, TN. Ophelia Olson
April 29, 2025 – January 7, 2026

Ophelia OlsonOphelia Winifred Olson, age 8 months, went into the arms of Jesus on January 7, 2026 at the home of her grandparents in Pleasant View, Tennessee.

There will be a private family burial in the Carolina Memorial Sanctuary in Mills River, NC. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

Baby Ophelia was born on April 29, 2025 in Asheville, North Carolina to her loving parents, Blake & Morgan Olson of Bakersville, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Wylie; grandparents, Kellie & Mark Olson of Pleasant View, TN and Teresa & Jerry Buchanan of Johnson City, TN; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to the doctors, nurses and staff of both Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC and to Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Although her life was brief, Ophelia was loved by so many that never had the opportunity to meet her- yet, she touched the lives of these.
