Ace Hardware Springfield, Announces New Leadership & New Hours

SPRINGFIELD (ROBERTSON COUNTY) TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – In a release to Smokey Barn News Friday, ACE Hardware, known as America’s “helpful place,” has announced that it’s Springfield store, located at 400 Central Ave E MAP, has new leadership. William (Dee) Goad (born and raised in Springfield) took the helm last week.

Dee has been a common sight in Springfield and the surrounding areas his entire life. He graduated from Springfield High School and was part of the 3rd Generation of family-owned Goad Implement Company founded in 1955, a tractor and farm equipment dealer located in Barren Plains.

Most recently Dee has been working as a sales specialist in the hardware industry. Dee is married to Carol and has two children, Emmy Hendrick and Anna Goad.

“We are very excited for the community to have a great leader at the helm of the heartbeat of hardware in Springfield and would like everyone to come in and say Hi,” said Darin Workman President/CEO, The Hardware Company.

The Springfield ACE Hardware store recently went through a transition in ownership. There was even a moment when the store’s future was in question but Workman’s love for ACE Hardware just couldn’t let that happen. Workman acquired the store and completely restocked it with all new products and merchandise. The store was also completely reorganized and staffed with some familiar faces. Now, with new leadership, the store is ready to offer what it does best, Service, Convenience, Repair and Replace.

The Springfield store is also offering some new hours, keeping the doors open till 7 pm most nights. Monday through Saturday they’ll be keeping the doors open until 7:00 pm and Sunday they’ll run 10 am – 6 pm. See full hours and other local locations as well as some special offers below.
