SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An antique white Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was stolen from a parking area behind the CopperVault restaurant around 2:30pm Monday afternoon.
Needless to say, the vehicle should be easy to spot. The owner was visiting his insurance agent and left his keys in the vehicle, according to Springfield Police.
Rickie Morris, the Detective assigned to the case told Smokey Barn News that their prime suspect (pictured left) was seen walking around the Robertson County Courthouse and stumbled on the beautiful car. Apparently the vehicle proved to be too tempting with the keys still inside and he (the suspect) drove away in the car.
The vehicle will look similar to the one pictured below. The photo above is of the actual car minutes before it departed.
If you have seen the vehicle, or can identify the suspect pictured, you are encouraged to call the Robertson County Dispatch Center at 615-384-4911.
