Brazen Car Theft Caught On Camera In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – We all do it, leave the vehicle running while we open the gate, move the garbage can, or in this case, run in the store for just a second. Unfortunately for a driver at a Springfield gas station, the opportunity proved to be too tempting for an opportunistic thief.

The incident occurred at 3:30 pm Monday afternoon when an unidentified white male stole a Black 2016 Chevy Impala from the Sudden Service gas station located at 2806 Memorial Blvd in Springfield TN. The station is located directly across from Payne Chevrolet and Carpet One. MAP

Police tell Smokey Barn News that the vehicle was left unlocked and running while the owner was inside the store. A white male is seen exiting the back seat of a white Chevy Impala that was parked at the fuel pump. Detectives would like to speak with the white female who was driving the white Impala parked at the fuel pumps. This individual then drives away and heads towards Greenbrier.

If you have any information on the black Chevy Impala or the driver of the white Chevy Impala, please notify Det. Charles Consiglio with the Springfield Police Department @ 615-384-8422 Ext. 236

CAR STATS: 2016 Chevy Impala. (TN Tag# 5H9 3U3) (VIN# 2G1WC5E34G1148550) Taken on 10/15/2018
