Citizens Gather To Pray Outside NorthCrest Medical Center In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – In the wake of NorthCrest Medical Center’s declaration of “disaster status,” following a large spike in COVID-19 ICU patients on Thursday, members of Springfield Baptist Church gathered this morning outside NorthCrest’s emergency room to pray.
NorthCrest Medical Center reactivated Disaster Status at 2:30 PM Thursday afternoon due to a patient overflow situation. In response to the situation, all elective surgical procedures were canceled, according to NorthCrest CEO Randy Davis. Overnight Wednesday, NorthCrest’s COVID-19 ICU patient count doubled, going from 6 to 11 patents with 8 on ventilators.
