The large police presence alarmed local residents in the area.

Negotiations went on for several hours before police made entry into the home and took the resident into custody. Police cleared the scene around 2:00 am Tuesday morning.

The resident was transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.  Because the incident has been classified as medical we will not be releasing the name of the individual.

Robertson County authorities had their hands full Monday evening. As police negotiated in Cottontown a home invasion in Joelton led to a manhunt in Ridgetop that went on until a suspect was taken into custody Tuesday morning. MORE
