COVID-19 Claims Second Electrolux Employee
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (smokey Barn News) – According to Electrolux officials, a second Springfield plant employee has died of COVID-19.
Electrolux North America confirmed the report with Smokey Barn News that a 64-year-old male employee from the Springfield factory has died of COVID-19. The name of the employee has not been released.
“It is with deep sadness that we learned of our employee’s passing yesterday and want to provide as much support as we can to his family.
“Our employees’ safety is our top priority. We began taking safety actions early-March and have taken many more since then including fogging and disinfecting the full campus daily and spacing out the production line and cafeteria.
“This spring, we also added safety barriers between many workstations and made social distancing and masks mandatory.”
This is the second COVID-19 related death at the Electrolux Springfield factory in recent weeks. The first was reported back on August 3rd. FULL STORY
According to the Tennessee Department Of Health, 20 Robertson Countians have lost their lives due to complications of COVID-19.
