Two Dead in Rollover Crash On Gallatin Pike North Saturday Night, Driver Charged

UPDATE: The Metro Nashville Police Department is now releasing the names of the two women who lost their lives in the crash on Gallatin Pike North at Cude Lane. Holly Wagner, 25, of Missouri, and Natalie White, 24, of Illinois, were the passengers in the Ford Focus that was struck by a Jeep Cherokee driven by Giovanni Bolstad, 22.

Bolstad, driving on a revoked license, allegedly ran a flashing red light and collided with the Focus. Holly and Natalie (front and back seat passengers of the Focus) died at the scene. The 26-year-old driver of the Focus sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt. Police say Bolstad initially fled on foot but later returned to the scene and was also transported to Skyline Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

UPDATE: Bolstad has now been booked on 2 counts of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and driving on a revoked license. Bond: $332,500.

UPDATE: According to the Metro Nashville Police preliminary investigation of the crash, two women, ages 24 and 25, were killed in the crash. Giovanni Bolstad, 22, pictured below from a DUI arrest and conviction in 2023, is facing two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, police said.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Bolstad was driving a Jeep Cherokee on Cude Lane out of Rivergate Mall when he allegedly ran a flashing red light and collided with a Ford Focus containing the two girls traveling on Gallatin Pike. The 26-year-old driver of the Ford sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Bolstad is currently hospitalized. The names of the two women killed in the crash have not been released.

MADISON TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Officials are investigating a deadly two-vehicle rollover that claimed two lives just before midnight Saturday. The crash occurred on Gallatin Pike North, just south of Rivergate Parkway. Reportedly at least one person lost their life in the crash with some reports indicating that there may be a second fatality.

As of 2:30 a.m, Sunday morning, Gallatin Pike North remained closed. The details surrounding the cause of the crash are not immediately available, but Smokey Barn News is actively reaching out to officials to gather more information. After impact, both vehicles landed on the east side of Gallatin Pike near the Cude KOOD Lane intersection across from Krispy Cream. LOCATION OF CRASH

At least one person was transported to an area hospital, though their condition is currently unknown. We are still waiting for officials to release more information about the crash, including the identities of those involved.

For now, Gallatin Pike remains closed, and drivers are urged to find alternative routes.
