Driver Survives Violent Rollover Crash Near Orlinda

ORLINDA TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A violent rollover crash on Hwy 49 sent a vehicle down a steep ravine and ended with the driver pinned under the weight of the vehicle against a tree.

The crash occurred on Hwy 49 at South Lamont Rd around 3:30 pm Wednesday afternoon. MAP

The driver, estimated to be in her mid 20’s by officials, sustained non-critical injuries and was transported via ground to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

After the crash, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted from the crumpled wreck by the Orlinda Fire Department. Fire Chief Dusty Johnson with the Orlinda Fire Department told Smokey Barn News that the young lady was “very lucky.”

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Orlinda Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol all responded to the crash.
