Elderly Man Robbed At Gunpoint: Police Capture Duo
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Saturday, Springfield Police were dispatched to the 21st Ave East and Blair St. in reference to a armed robbery.
No contact was made initially, but the victim showed up to the Springfield Police Department approximately 20 minutes later to report the crime.
An investigation revealed that a black male who goes by the street name “Savage” had allegedly robbed the 67 year old man with a black handgun. After the robbery the gunman allegedly fled with the victims check book.
A short time later a white female identified as Trina Garrett Vaughn, 51, of Springfield showed up to the Robertson County Credit Union to allegedly cash one of the victims stolen checks taken in the robbery.
Det. Charles Consiglio, with the Springfield Police Department, was able to identify “Savage” as Deadrick Holbert, 26, of Springfield, with the help of other Detectives and a photo lineup.
Trina Garrett Vaughn was arrested on the charges of Forgery and Possession of Stolen Property. She is in jail on a $7500 dollar bond.
Deadrick Holbert was located on Thursday and taken into custody without incident. He is being held in the Robertson County Jail on a $265,000 dollar bond.
