Emergency Management Issues Grass/Brush Fire ALERT Due To Dry Conditions
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency has issued a fire warning due to dry conditions and a spike of grass and brush-related fires in the area.
There have been at least four reported grass fires today alone including one in the median on I65 this morning that required a multi-agency response.
Officials are asking the public to be very careful with fire or flame until these dry conditions subside. Never toss cigarettes out the window and use caution when driving over dry grass as vehicles offer several trigger points that can ignite dry grass.
The White House Community Volunteer Fire Dept is also sounding the alarm.”We have had multiple Grass and Brush fires in the last few days. Please be very careful about burning anything.”
