Emergency Water Brought In After Water Main Break In Portland

PORTLAND TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to Sumner County EMA, a water line that supplies the Oak Grove area has ruptured.

Officials are working to repair the line, the repair will not be completed today.

Sumner County Emergency Management Agency and the City of Portland are working to have bottled drinking water available to residents who have lost water. The bottled water can be obtained at 433 N Broadway Street in Portland. MAP

For those residents that are homebound, contact the Sumner County EMA at 615-452-7584 or the Portland Fire Department at 615-325-5649.

According to officials with the Portland Fire Department, about 1000 customers are affected. According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, as the temperature climbs, we may see other breaks in our water supply lines.
