Family Dog Acts Weird, Residents Finds Room On Fire
CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Cedar Hill home is still standing thanks to the great work of local Firefighters but the family dog played a part too.
The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department was called to a home located on Winters Rd at 3:45 am. Sunday morning MAP
According to officials, the homeowner indicated that the family dog started acting oddly, triggering a search of the home. “The dog came into the room and was acting weird.” Moments later a crackling sound led the family to a room in the basement that was engulfed in flames. The family acted quickly and called 911.
The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, effectively containing it to the room where the fire started. According to the agency, the home sustained only 10% damage thanks to the fire department and that early detection system—the dog. Additionally, no injuries were reported. It’s what Firefighters call a “good stop.”
Assisting Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department was Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, and the Robertson County Shariff’s Office.
