Fatal Greenbrier Crash Claims One, Injures Two

GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A fatal crash on Old Greenbrier Pike in Greenbrier Wednesday morning has claimed the life of one and injured two.

The crash occurred on Old Greenbrier Pike near Ebenezer Rd just after 11 am. LOCATION OF CRASH Greenbrier Police are leading the investigation into the crash.

According to Greenbrier Police, driver one, Wesley Kilgore, 37, 0f Greenbrier lost his life in the crash. A female (juvenile) passenger with Kilgore was transported by ground to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville in serious but stable condition. David Vaughan, 58, of Greenbrier, driver two, was transported by ground to Skyline Medical listed in serious but stable condition. Kilgore was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to Greenbrier Police, Vaughan was headed South, with Kilgore headed North (towards Springfield) when the two vehicles collided nearly head-on. The impact sent both vehicles into a spin before landing on opposite sides of Old Greenbrier Pike. Kilgore had to be extricated from his vehicle.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation. If Greenbrier Police release more information we will bring it to you.
