Festival To Reenact Bank Robbery Of Frank & Jesse James In Springfield August 27th
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –The Robertson County Museum & Historical Society will be hosting The Last Days of Frank & Jesse James Festival on Saturday, August 27, 2022 on the Courthouse Square in Springfield, Tennessee and will 
include a reenactment of a bank robbery (AT NOON), food trucks, kid’s zone with inflatables, live music by the Inglewood Old Time String Band & the Springfield Guitar Bluegrass Band, plus a Western Style Bank Robbery at High Noon!
The movie, which starred Johnny Cash, Kris Kristopherson, and Willie Nelson, contains scenes filmed in and around the Robertson County Courthouse in 1985.
Many local Springfield and Robertson County residents were employed and served as extras for the movie when it was filmed in Springfield.

Tickets are $10 for the event on August 27th (12 and younger are free) and can be purchased online.

Memorabilia – CALL FOR ITEMS:
The History Museum is looking for memorabilia, photos and any items that relate to the filming of the movie “The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James.”
If you have items you would like to loan to the museum for our upcoming exhibit you can drop them off at the museum Wednesday through Friday 10am to 4pm.
Vendors:
We are looking for vendors to add to our Pioneer Village. We are looking for the following type of vendors:
*Leather Worker
*Candle Maker
*Someone that makes Cornhusk Dolls
*Broom Maker

Volunteers:
We are in need of volunteers for our fundraising event “The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James Festival” being held on Saturday, August 14th.
We need help in the following areas:
*Admission Gates
*Set Up
*Tear Down
*Kids Zone
*Museum Volunteers
*Directional Staff
These shifts are for 2 hours only but can be for longer if you need community service hours.

About the Robertson County Historical Society
The museum serves as so many things to so many people. Of course, our museum’s chief purpose is to collect and preserve items of historical importance to Robertson County, Tennessee. However, over the years the society has evolved much beyond just that.
