Former Millersville Mayor Tim Lassiter Arrested For Document Fraud
UPDATE: CHARGES DROPPED
MILLERSVILLE, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to News4, the Sumner County district attorney has dismissed criminal charges against former Millersville Mayor Tim Lassiter due to concerns over factual inconsistencies. The charges, dropped on September 11th, stemmed from Lassiter’s alleged attempt to bypass state fire marshal approval by issuing a permit for a city building project without the necessary authorization.
In an email obtained by News4 Investigates, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Dean cited “several unanswered questions” about the facts of the case, noting “new concerns” that some provided information might be inaccurate. Due to these concerns, Dean stated the case could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, though he left open the possibility of refiling charges at a later date, according to News4.
