Georgia To Chicago In A Wheelchair
With A Message For Robertson County
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – In 1992 Vincent Robinson was shot with a Streetsweeper in Georgia. When he woke up in the hospital months later he had already healed but his legs were gone.
Robinson blames a culture of violence and hate for what happened to him, now he has a message for America. “Stop the violence.” Robinson is taking his message on a 700 mile trek from Georgia to Chicago in a wheelchair, today marks the 18th day of his journey. Robinson says he makes about 20 miles a day in his wheelchair, with his uncle Freddy Handspike in tow.
Robinson shared his story with Smokey Barn News as he made his way through Robertson County Sunday afternoon.

Keep pushing Vincent and good will prevail! We’re praying for your continued strength while on this journey! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Vincent has been such an inspiration since the day he first woke up after his incident. The smile never left his face, to our surprise! God could not have chosen a better person to spread this message! His book “How the streets changed me and almost took my life” gives great insight on his life story before the change. It had me laughing and crying. #stoptheviolence

Just seen him in between greenbrier and ridge top!!
Thanks so very much for getting out such a powerful story. Vincent’s is a mission with the root being love shared amongst mankind. As stated, it is so much easier to love than to perpetuate hate. Violence of all sorts must be curbed and ultimately annihilated. Peace is the absolute solution to bettering the world as we know it.
With every revolution of his wheels, Vincent is pushing forward for all the lives lost due to and affected by violence.
