Grandmother, Mom, Baby, OK After HWY 41 Rollover Crash

GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An infant, her mother and grandmother (all from Greenbrier) somehow escaped serious injuries in a rollover crash on HWY 41 in Springfield Thursday, according to Springfield Police.

The call came into 911 at 5:43pm, a GMC Sierra and a Ford SUV collided on Hwy 41 at the Stacy Springs Rd intersection near Experiment Station Rd. MAP.

The impact sent the Ford into a rollover crash with the infant, her mother and grandmother on board.

According to Springfield Police the three were very lucky they came out of the crash intact, “It could have been much worse.”

Though the three were transported to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield via ground, according to Robertson County EMS their injuries were non-critical.

Traffic on Hwy 41 heading into Springfield was diverted to Experiment Station Rd for about an hour while Springfield Police investigated the crash and officials righted the vehicle and cleared roadway.

The driver of the GMC was not injured, police said.

Drugs and or alcohol were not considered to be factors in this crash.

This crash is reminiscent of a another crash that occurred on Hwy 41 back in 2013 just a few hundred feet away. It too was a two car crash that involved a mother, grandmother and young children. The outcome however was much different.

Most of you will remember Megan Bouge and her family. Megan lost her mother Janice Carlton and her 3 year old daughter Wyncie Bouge in the crash that ultimately took three lives.  FULL STORY
