Three lives lost in Tragic Accident on Hwy 41S Monday Evening

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  Three lives were lost in a tragic head-on collision on Hwy 41S near Experiment Station Rd Monday evening around 7:30 p.m. All occupants involved in this accident including two women, a toddler and baby were life-flighted. Their names have not yet been released. THP is investigating the cause of this crash.  Location of Accident: MAP

UPDATE 11pm: The young man from Springfield driving the Honda Accord  that crossed the center line has passed away. His name will be released pending notification of family. The 4 occupants of the other car are at Vanderbilt. A eyewitness at the scene told Smokey that the driver of the Honda Accord  shifted over to change lanes and just kept going.

The 3 YR old girl (Wyncie) is in critical condition, the 14 day old baby (Emmitt)  is doing fine (no life threatening injuries). The children were properly restrained. We are still waiting on updates for 28 yr old Megan Bouge (the driver of the second vehicle – a Toyoto) and passenger (Megan’s Mother Janice Carlton aka – Darlene) 

Update 12:59 am: The Mother of Megan Bouge (passenger)  Janice Carlton aka – Darlene has passed away. Megan (a dance Instructor at Dance South in White House) is currently in surgery and the 3 yr old little girl (Wyncie) is on life support.

Megan trained at Cordell Dance Studio and has over 20 years of dance experience.  She has studied with some of Nashville’s elite instructors. At age 15, Megan became a teaching assistant and immediately fell in love with sharing her passion of dance.  Her dance history includes extensive studies and competitions in ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, hip hop, lyrical, praise dance and pointe.  Throughout the years, she has attended numerous conventions, workshops and competitions.  She has over 10 years of teaching experience and specializes in teaching preschool and primary age dancers the art of ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, pre-pointe and hip hop. 

UPDATE: The name of the male driver of the Honda Accord has been released. Mandricus Darden age 27 of Springfield. Darden passed away due to injuries from the accident.

UPDATE: 4:00PM Tuesday January 29 2012
Wyncie, the 3 yr old little girl is in extremely critical condition according to a representative with the Springfield Police Department. All the details concerning the gravity of the situation are not being released to the general public but Smokey Barn News is confident that the family would appreciate your prayers.
