Greenbrier Names New Police Chief Following Packs Retirement
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Following the retirement of Chief Randy Pack, Greenbrier has just announced that Lt. Buster Locklayer with Greenbrier’s Criminal Investigation Division will move into the role as Chief permanently.
Lt. Locklayer, now Chief Locklayer has been Greenbrier’s acting Police Chief since Pack’s retirement back in July.
“After a competitive internal application process, the city of Greenbrier hired Buster Locklayer as the new Chief of Police on August 16, 2023,” said Greenbrier City Recorder Stephanie Toland. “The leadership Locklayer has displayed among the department and within the community was key in Mayor Lanny Adcock’s decision. Locklayer has a strong reputation for being a just, yet firm leader and has a vision for Greenbrier. We are excited to see what the future holds for the department under his leadership.”
Locklayer brings 24 years of experience in law enforcement to the position. Prior to law enforcement, Locklayer was a Loss Prevention Investigator. Prior to law enforcement, Locklayer was a professional kickboxer and an electronics technician. Locklayer told Smokey Barn News that his kickboxing career paid for his college education.
