Hit & Run: Driver Flees On Foot After SUV Crashes Into New Springfield Boutique
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The driver of an SUV was nowhere to be found after an encounter with a downtown building in Springfield Saturday Night.
The crash occurred on Main St at 7th Ave, the first call coming into 911 at 8:30 pm. LOCATION OF CRASH
The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was not drivable after colliding with the structure and the airbags did deploy. Observationally, it appears that the SUV was attempting a left turn onto 7th from Main St and perhaps slid on wet pavement into the building. The old building did sustain some damage but held up well considering what was left of the SUV.
A new boutique just moved into the building but it appears that the old historic structure protected the goods inside. Should any new details emerge with this story we will bring it to you.
