Hwy 49 Near Coopertown Shut Down Following Crash
UPDATE: The roadway is now open.
COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) -Hwy 49 near Coopertown is currently closed following a two-vehicle crash. One wrecker has arrived on the scene but officials tell Smokey Barn News that the road will remain closed for at least 30 more minutes, possibly longer.
The crash occurred just after 9:30 am between Mt Zion Rd and the city of Coopertown. MAP One person had to be extracted.
According to Robertson County EMS, the accident involves a pickup and a larger one-ton with a boom. One person has been transported to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition.
According to the Emergency Management Agency, the road is expected to reopen around noon.
